4th of July and a few days later...

We had a wonderful 4th of July celebrating with friends and family. We started the festive weekend with a little bar-b-que at our house. Lots of fun with close friends. Aubree was loving all of the festivities in her little red, white and blue ensemble.

The next day we took a little trip to my in-laws for another bar-b-que with family.  

After all of that swimming it was time to chow down. Nothing better at a BBQ than corn on the cob. 

Aubree loved the fireworks. She was in awe.  It was a wonderful weekend, with lots of memories made. 

Just a couple of beach bums.

So Scotty and I have been married for 4 years and have only been on one vacation... And that was our honeymoon!!! Holy dang! We were in need of a little getaway, so my family and I packed up our swimsuits and headed to the beach!! 

                               

 How cute is she?!?!?  OHMYWORD!! I couldn't get enough of her in her swimsuit with her shades and graham cracker crumbs. She was loving the ocean as long as there was no sand on her body...anywhere!! {yes, at the beach and didn't want sand to get on her sunscreen covered body...yeah right!} 

                                         

Does she not look like she is loving life right about now or what?? She was loving daddy pulling her down the beach in the wagon. Precious!!

One of the days while we were in Gulfport we decided to take a quick day trip down to New Orleans or NOLA as some may call it! 😄 Beside eating a beignet at Cafe Du Monde {OMG!!! delicious!!!} 

            

    

one of the other things we had on the agenda was to visit the Autobon Aquarium of the Americas. It was AWESOME! Aubree was in LOVE with all of the creatures!!

      It was a wonderful vacation with a lot of memories made! A great way to start the summer!!! 

       

  

       

Life Lately... playing catch-up..

WHEW!!!! These past few weeks have been CRAYYY-ZEEEEE!!!!  Between Aubree's first birthday extravaganza, switching school districts, first family vaca planning, all end of year school craziness I have been a little M.I.A lately. Sorry!!! Since I've posted last SOOO much has happened.  Here's a little recap in pictures!!!

How time flies...

I can't believe Aubree will be ONE in 2 weeks!! We took her 1st birthday pictures a few weekends ago and they turned out SO great! Love this little girl so much! This past year has been so wonderful! Here's a quick sneak peek of some of my favorites.

It's almost here.

Aubree's first birthday that is! My baby girl is 11 months old today! Everyone has always told me "you better cherish every moment because it goes by so fast". I knew it would, but I never thought it would go by THIS fast!! I am loving this age right now, but I do get a little sad when I think about how fast she's growing up and how she is only little for a short while. *sigh*

These past few weeks I have been planning her 1st birthday party and let me just tell ya.... I can't wait to PARRRR-TAYYY!! We are going to be knee deep in owl decor and I cant wait to celebrate Aubree's first year with friends and family.

Now at 11 months she is turning into such a little ham. Here are our 11 month milestones and favorites. Aubree new favorite foods are: strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, bananas, veggie sticks, Cheerios, lunch meat, anything pasta, cheese enchiladas, rice and broccoli cheese.
She enjoys drinking from her sippy cup, getting into everything, eating, taking baths in the big tub, playing on the iPad, and looking out of windows.

Easter is this weekend and that means time with family and the annual HUGE Easter egg hunt! I cult wait for Aubree's first Easter! One because of her precious Easter dress but also because of her 12 qt. Easter bucket!!

I am going to enjoy every second of the next month because her monthly birthdays will soon be over and my 5 lb. 11oz. baby girl will be ONE!!! oh man!

Luck of the Irish

I have always loved holidays, but now that Aubree is part of our family holidays are SO much more fun! Today was Aubree's 1st St. Patricks's Day and boy did we have fun!!

We started off the day with yummy pancakes for breakfast. My intentions were to have green pancakes, but for life of me I couldn't find the green food coloring! BOO! But we still had a great breakfast.

After lunch, playing outside for a bit and nap time we made some delicious lucky cupcakes! They were so yummy! I think Aubree thought so too! :)
